Who are we?
We are a group of experienced community nurses, from Lambeth and Southwark, who offer either, one to one training in house, or group training in a range of disease areas. Our lead nurse practitioner has expertise in asthma, COPD, diabetes and coronary heart disease. We also offer mandatory updates in anaphylaxis.
Our nurse practitioner has 36 years nursing experience with 25 years in the community, either as a midwife, practice nurse and nurse practitioner. Presently she works as a clinical manager and nurse practitioner in a large practice in Southwark, so is aware of the training needs of community staff, and the pressure that QOF targets make on the nurse/practice. She is happy to give support with career development and mentorship.
We also offer a 5 day introduction to practice nursing, which covers all aspects of training needs for a new practice nurse. This would be invaluable to any nurse coming from the acute sector wanting a change in career pathway. Presently our courses consist of either 1 day introductions to any disease area, half day updates and lunch time sessions. We are happy to discuss your trainings needs and deliver your requirements in a format that suits you.
